The build up of sludge in hot water central heating systems is inevitable no matter what fuel source is used. Over a period of time this sludge can block pipes and prevent the radiators from distributing heat around your house. Sludge can seriously affect the efficiency of your central heating system, will lead to higher fuel bills and can bring forward the need to replace some or all of the system. Power flushing uses a cleansing fluid containing modern chemicals to flush out the separate parts of the central heating system.
After installation thorough checks are made to ensure that everything is safe from the meter to your appliances. Gas Safe will be notified & you will receive a certificate from the local authority confirming that the building regulations have been complied with. Please Note: Since April 1st 2005 all newly installed gas boilers should be of the condensing type. In addition there are minimum standards with regard to updating central heating systems in order to comply with part L of the building regulations.
Finding the fault can often be time consuming, but done properly can save you money by not replacing parts that are perfectly sound. Boiler parts are normally manufactured up to 10 years after a particular model of boiler is discontinued. Sometimes it is not possible to repair or replace parts on older models & it may be more cost effective to consider replacement of the boiler with a new, far more efficient, condensing appliance.
Terms and Conditions These Terms and Conditions govern the basis on which all services and supplies shall be provided by DEganGas Services. For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions the following words shall have the following meanings: "The Company" shall mean DEganGas Services. Types of Boiler REGULAR BOILERS Units that are not combination boilers are commonly referred to as 'regular', 'conventional' or 'heat only' boilers. They can be wall-mounted or floor-standing. Space heating is provided directly but for hot water they need to be connected to a separate hot water storage system i.e.
The base price assumes that the appliance has been serviced regularly and that it is readily accessible. Please see "Price Guide" for current pricing. If servicing more than one appliance a reduction on subsequent appliances may be applied when serviced on the same day. Ask for details. If you have an open flued boiler or open flued/flue-less fire, normally identified as an older appliance with a pilot light, we would recommend the fitting of a CO detector. Although this does not negate the need for annual servicing it does provide a supplementary line of defence against this odourless & potentially dangerous gas.
