Safe & Secure Systems was established in 2001 by James and Wendy Hitchcock, offering a complete service for Gated Perimeter Security for residential and commercial premises. Since conception, our team of 4 has always prided itself on a friendly approach, coupled with fine attention to detail. From the first telephone conversation, through to final system handover, our clients remain our most important assets. Our team members are Directors James & Wendy, Gerry our Fabricator/Installer and we are very proud that our Son Luke has now joined us bringing his specialist skills in Joinery to compliment our team.

Assuming that your gates are either manually locked or locked shut by automation motors, you will need to use at least one method of access control. In order to determine which of these options will be required, we look forward to meeting you for a survey of your property. We also automate garage doors and can link the garage door system to the gate system using a remote hand transmitter. One remote can also be set to control a number of automated devices - a garage door and a gate for instance.

We offer a full service from the most basic CCTV setup with a single camera and monitor to complex video surveillance systems with many cameras, multiple operators, and digital recorders which can provide security for a wide diversity of commercial premises. Wired cameras guarantee zero interference and can be positioned hundreds of metres away from the monitoring/recording equipment. There is little point installing a CCTV camera if it is incapable of allowing you to easily identify who or what is being captured and recorded.

We offer a complete fencing service with many examples at schools, stable yards and industrial premises, all from our own planning and manufacturing facilities. Typical choices for schools and industrial locations are galvanised or colour powder coated palisade fencing, often used in conjunction matching Palisade gates. Fencing systems are custom built and fitted, with the option to automate with access control in addition. Our range also includes Razorwire, Barbed Wire and Armco Crash Barriers, depending on your business requirements.

Safe & Secure Systems operates from a custom local manufacturing workshop, in which all gates and steelwork are formed from raw steel. Any design is possible in steel, hardwood, softwood, low carbon footprint British recycled composite cladding, or indeed a combination of all. We will make your own bespoke design to fit the exact dimensions of your property. We also have many existing designs to choose from. For industrial clients security is paramount. All our gates and railings are built and installed to match the level of security and intensity of usage required.

To turn a manual gate into an automatic gate, an electric 'operator' is attached. This is a motorised or pneumatic device that allows buttons, remote controls, key cards or vehicle detectors to activate movement of the gate. Safety devices control the operation of the system at all times. Any vehicles or pedestrians detected within the movement area of a gate will signal the operator mechanism to stop and re-open/close the gate. In the event of a power failure, a gate can simply be unlocked with a set of keys provided, then manually operated to allow access or to secure your commercial premises.
