At Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd, we pride ourselves on our levels of service and attention to detail of our clients requirements and specifications. Combined with the highest standards of safety throughout our site and management team, we make sure that we maintain the strongest of customer relationships from project to project, never becoming complacent. Through this ethos, we are proud of just some of our customers listed below, that we enjoy a continued and long standing working relationship with.

An essential element of most building projects, traditional tube and fitting scaffolding is used for most large through to small-scale building projects. Traditional scaffolding involves the use of boards and galvanised tubes and fittings. Using these materials we can create a range of structures compliant with TG20:13 or designed scaffolds. At Ducker & Young, we can customise our scaffolding to fit your specific build or access requirements. This will be erected safely and efficiently by our team of trained and professional scaffold operatives.

Temporary roofs offer more than just weather proofing. Installing temporary roofs can reduce the risk of working at height. Instead of laying individual sheets we use one, long sheet that is pulled through the scaffold on tracks. This makes erection easier in inclement weather. Beams are in place to span the roof and then plastic sheeting is secured around it to encapsulate it and make it weather proof. This kind of structure is often required in building refurbishments or when a roof is replaced but an encapsulation can speed up a project's build time, by protecting both workers and the build from the elements.

System scaffolding is prefabricated into specific component parts. This means that the fitting is already manufactured into the scaffolding tube. Different types of systems are available from different suppliers and at Ducker & Young we have the availability and option for our clients to use various system types that are on the market today. These include Cuplok, Haki, Plettac Metrix and many more. All Ducker & Young scaffolding operatives are trained in systems scaffolds before attending site. System scaffold is often used in place of traditional scaffold where multi trades are required to work upon the same scaffold at the same time and where multiple adaptation and lift heights are required.

Traditional build projects are reliant on the right scaffolding and access solution from the outset of the project to ensure that the scaffold provided allows a multi trade safe and efficient working environment. Usually a single boarded working lift, working to SG4:15 and TG20:13 is raised with 'progress of work' as the brickwork and floors are constructed on the building. Working up to eaves, the final working lift is positioned to allow roofing works to be completed and then subsequent adaptation of the scaffolding is undertaken to allow for any detailed external finishes, cleaning down or window installation.

Make sure that you get the right scaffolding and access solution for your project with either System Scaffolding or Traditional Tube and Fitting. At Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd, we are proud of our experience and expertise when it comes to Timber Frame construction. With experience in most recent techniques for timber frame construction, we can offer our clients confidence and certainty in our capability to meet the demands of any project. If we can be of any assistance at Tender stage, , including in the preparation of designs relating to Timber Frame construction, we would be more than happy to help.

Safety is paramount and comes first in all our planning and on-site work. A Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) is carried out on all projects. Our team is constantly trained to ensure they are working to most current standards and is now training in SG4:15. Our onsite visits will include harness inspections and we continually look to reduce risks of working at height and installing guard rail systems, reducing the risk of fall or injury to our own team and all those working on site. It is our company policy that our scaffolding team wear harnesses at all times and all required PPE (hard hat, high-visability clothing, boots and gloves).

Super efficient, friendly and extremely professional. Highly skilled and highly recommended. Designing and constructing scaffolding is an art, I was.

What's new?

I would like to say Happy New Year to all our staff past and present, customers and suppliers and thank you all for your commitment and hard work on what has been a tough and memorable year. As always, during these times, we all pull together that little bit tighter and have shown that we have what it takes as an business and an industry to get the job done, safely and to the best of our abilities.
