A dedicated commercial team working on both commercial sites such as care homes and supermarket grounds as well as many green/blue infrastructure projects across the South West. The team consists of a Project Manager and knowledgeable team members with access to civil engineers, plant and earthworks teams. Structure to the garden provided by planting perennials and wild grasses can be highlighted by the lighting systems we use. Copper and stainless steel pole or ground lights can transform the space created.
Since 1990 Johnstone Landscapes Ltd has designed and built gardens across the South West and South of England. We also work with clients and designers to realise their own designs and work with several Chelsea Gold and Best in Show designers. We are active members of BALI.org and adhere to their guiding principles of what good landscaping and clear communication look like. Inspired by his father, who was a keen and sensitive gardener, Andrew turned to landscaping early in on in life. An unembarrassed aesthete, who was looking for a creative career, Andrew found that landscaping allowed him to fulfill his innate interest in his surroundings.
From small country cottage gardens, larger private kitchen gardens, right through to parkland - the team thrive on seeing the project grow. Installing the boundaries with hedging and indigenous trees, building the infrastructure and the hard landscaping, through to finally planting. Structure to the garden is created with hedging that thrives in inherent soil alongside rich under planting of specimen trees. Perennials, grasses and woodland planting provide a welcome contrast to the hard lines of metal and brick edging.
