We carry out Full Risk Assessments and Method Statements and works permits are filled out prior to commencement of works and handed back before leaving or on completion.
Close board fencing is one of the strongest boundary fences we put up. All timber is pressure treated, all fixings our galvanised coated therefore never rusts. When fence has been completed there are no steps in the fence and it becomes one unit, unlike panel fencing. One of the most popular fencing we have put up, we also hold in stock. These gates are fitted by us. Posts are set in ready mixed concrete, once set are hung, therefore there is no need for support wheels etc at the bottom of the gates.
We carry out most planting schemes using the landscape architects drawings. We source the shrubs and trees using different wholesale nursery outlets, planting up around shopping centres, factories, retirement homes and gardens. We find some shrubs such as Sarcococca Confusa has a very strong perfume smell and Buddlias attract the butterflies, so we do incorporate this into some of our shrub boarder designs. The shrub boarders we design usually have evergreen flowering shrubs with of course your favourite shrubs mixed in and we advice you if it's a bad choice like Viburnum Tinus (very bad smell, If not sprayed).
We spray the proposed lawn areas with a systemic weed killer. Once this has taken effect, we can then start to rotivate the soil, re-levelling the ground to existing running levels incorporating soil fertiliser. Once levelled we compact the area once again to fill in any undulations, removing any stones larger then 50mm. At this stage the area can be grass seed or turf with amenity grass or specialist seeded turf to your specification. In some cases before we put the new lawn down, we plant in snow drops and crocus bulbs.
As we maintain a number of Shopping centres, we have brought and hold a minimum of 500 bags of Strada white salt. We also carry out snow clearing using petrol snow blowers. We guarantee to get the snow cleared The Grit Spreaders we use spread the salt to a width of 1.80m wide. We can deliver and spread or just deliver. Due to the warmer winters the moss and Algae growth on tarmac, concrete and other hard areas has become more prolific. This cannot be treated with the same moss controller we put on lawns as it contains Iron.
