HFN Landscapes, part of Home Farm Nurseries, meets the landscaping needs of a wide range of clients in both the private and public sectors, including many local authorities. We have developed our services to meet the individual requirements of every client large or small. Our in house management team based at our Head Office in Worcestershire is experienced in handling all aspects of landscape construction. We maintain complete control from estimating, planning and procurement through to implementation, contract supervision and ongoing maintenance and procure work through a competitive tender procedure, partnership working or negotiated design and build.

With a combination of efficiency, careful planning and attention to detail, play area construction has become a real specialist area for the HFN team. Our approach to play area construction is unique. To help familiarise ourselves with the product and identify any shortfalls in parts or design, we pre-assemble all play equipment at our own workshops before installation on site. This helps to avoid any unnecessary delays in construction and ensures that in the event of a missing part we can safeguard the equipment in a controlled and secure environment.

HFN has the capability, equipment and experience to undertake any major earthworks project. Using our own specialist range of heavy machinery and plant including dumpers, 360° excavators and tracked excavators from 1 tonne to 20 tonne, our on site team of qualified civil engineers will manage the project from start to finish, taking into account environmental sensitivities and keeping waste and disruption to an absolute minimum. All our operators are formally trained, tested and certified to the industry standard.

HFN provide fencing applications for a wide spectrum of clients including commercial, social, agricultural, local authorities and building contractors. In particular, Design for Play, a DCSF and Play England document by Shackell and others, published in 2008, highlights ten key principles of successful play spaces which, according to Play England's advice document Better Places to Play through Planning, should be considered alongside quality assessment. Set out in the panel below, starting with the natural play approach makes it much easier for any scheme to meet these common-sense, appealing guidelines.

With experience in projects as diverse as caravan parks, city high streets, schools, hospitals and office complexes, HFN has the knowledge and in-house skills to bring your project to fruition within budget. Be it new build, upgrade or renovation. HFN provide fencing applications for a wide spectrum of clients including commercial, social, agricultural, local authorities and building contractors. At HFN we construct sympathetic paving and cityscape schemes to help improve the aesthetic appearance of our urban spaces, whilst taking into account the fine balance between environmental sustainability and the social and economic needs of the site.

Experience in caravan park builds for National Companies has extended HFN's core knowledge in all aspects of the construction process. Keen to operate as Principle Contractor, HFN can source reliable quality contractors for areas outside their remit from their supply chain. Created over a 30 year lifespan, trust and quality workmanship from these partnerships ensure an excellent scheme. HFN are happy to offer their knowledge to assess drawing and plan concepts to obtain the best use of land available, drainage options, service points and compound locations and hardstanding materials for the location of the build.
