We are landscape architects and craftsmen with over 20 years experience of designing, planning, and evolving landscapes for diversity, leisure, education, children's and family play, rewilding and ecological habitat. Advice, planning and design as required, from inception through to completion, with a full design and build service when required. We also advise and steer your own self build projects. Working with Leaves of Green was very rewarding as it helped us to learn how to 'read' our land, understanding it's micro climates in different areas, and how to best work with it's natural opportunities as well as it's challenges.

We bring all of our experience and training together, to work with nature, for the benefit of all. Guy Redmond is a landscape architect, arborist, gardener and permaculture designer. Since 1990 he has worked with many public and private clients and around 500 schools to create unique, practical outdoor spaces for learning, play, inspiration and ecological and spiritual regeneration. He is an advocate of the right of access to land for everybody; and replacing global trade treaties and corporate monocultures with connected localism and places that value people and ecology.

Take a fresh look at your school grounds and learn how to successfully zone your grounds to create effective outdoor learning environments & natural play space; or how to build living willow structures and sculptures and other effective collaborative projects. Our workshops are aimed at getting you up skilled in the most advanced and easy techniques to make children's learning and play effective and fun. Take a fresh look at your school grounds: creating effective outdoor learning environments & natural play space; planning and design; involving and building community; aligning developments with Play Safety standards; sourcing funding; creating positive behaviour though design and collaboration.

We have a wide diversity of projects, features and elements going back over 20 years. Leaves of Green's original vision was to establish a comprehensive portfolio of positive and practical precedents for schools, councils, private clients and enhancing historic landscapes. Before returning to England, our last project in New Zealand was a beautiful space for class activities and social engagement right in the centre of the school. Some existing mature deciduous trees allowed the introduction of a New Zealand rain forest understorey of ground covers and ferns; and within these, an awesome storytelling circle; a long table for art work and display; a seating area for small group activities; and a central circular area of artificial grass for circle games, performance, yoga and chillax.
