From small beginnings, the business rapidly became established as a respected firm of Chartered Surveyors acting mainly in the Sheffield, South Yorkshire, north Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas. SMC became fully independent in 2008. The team is led by Mike Hull, a Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years experience. The overall expertise and depth of knowledge within the team is boosted by our consultants. David Heslop has been with us since 2000, Martin Saunders since 2012, Stuart Graham since 2017.

SMC Chartered Surveyors provides a full property management service for clients. We manage retail, office and industrial properties, handling everything from single properties to larger portfolios. Based in Sheffield, we are happy to manage properties all around the north midlands and south Yorkshire. SMC will handle the complex business of managing property for you and take the headache out of property ownership. We have recently invested in Re-leased property management software, which therefore enables us to streamline our administration and improve our efficiency.

SMC Chartered Surveyors are an independent firm of Valuation Surveyors in Sheffield. SMC provides valuations that comply with the RICS Valuation - Professional Standards (‘The Red Book'). We can provide different types of valuations dependant on your business and personal needs. We are happy to value everything from a small individual property up to a large property portfolio. Valuer registration is the RICS quality assurance system that monitors all registered RICS members who undertake Red Book valuations.
