Our showroom and workshop is located in a rural setting in Bierton, Buckinghamshire; less than an hour from central London. Since 1985, Simon Taylor Furniture has been handcrafting fine bespoke furniture for discerning clients.

Having trained at Rycotewood College, I started my bespoke furniture company in 1985 as a cabinetmaker designing and making custom-made pieces. I built up the business by word of mouth initially working for private clients. Then I went on to make fine furniture for Linley, whilst continuing my own furniture commissions at the same time. As my kitchens and bathroom business expanded, I built a large cabinet workshop and showroom at Cane End Works in Bierton, just outside Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, which is where Simon Taylor Furniture has been located ever since.

Over the years, we have designed and installed many different bathrooms, from luxuriant spa bath and shower rooms, family bathrooms, en suite bathrooms and bathrooms designed for little ones. Each project is always carefully curated to suit the requirements of our clients and to reflect their personalities. We also take care of everything from sourcing sanitaryware, brassware and fittings to plumbing and lighting, tiling, flooring, heating and decoration. Simon Taylor Furniture designed and installed a beautiful farmhouse kitchen in our home in Buckinghamshire in 2012 so we wanted to give them the opportunity to help us with the joinery and cabinetry for our new-build in Bath.

We also specialise in creating walk in wardrobes with pull-out hanging rails for shirts, dresses and trousers together with shelving for tops and t-shirts with drawers for all smaller clothing items and accessories. We can source a wide range of different timbers to suit your style and we always listen to your exact requirements before we design the internal storage elements.

Since 1985, our skilled craftspeople have been handmaking beautiful traditional in-frame kitchens in beautiful solid wood, timber veneers or hand-painted versions. We create elegant cabinetry in many different timeless styles including Shaker or more classic ornate options and we also make complex curved and circular kitchen furniture. Using traditional applications such as mortise and tenon and dovetail drawer boxes, we pay attention to every last detail. Even the cutlery drawers are handcrafted and designed to your exact specification.

Over the years, we have been privileged to have won or to have been shortlisted as finalists for a number of industry awards. In 2015, we won an industry-wide competition to make a kitchen in association with Miele that was showcased at that year's Grand Designs Live exhibition. The video of our winning design is below. We have also been finalists for two consecutive year at the Designer Awards and in 2019 we were honoured to win the British Design and Manufacturing Award and in 2020 for our Butlers Cross project and in 2020 we were finalists in the category of Ultimate Luxury Kitchen design of the Year for our Purley kitchen project.

Our designers will then arrange to safely visit you at your home or to meet with us at our showroom. If you have plans and drawings, they will ask to look at those. They will take a full brief from you and will discuss your needs and requirements in order to create a truly bespoke design for you. Whether you are considering a new guest cloakroom, a grand kitchen, or a full home refurbishment project, you can rest assured that you will receive the same high level of service from our design team. They will help you every step of the way, taking into account the architecture of your property in order to advise you on the best style for your room, the most appropriate timber or hand-painted finish and the best surfaces, appliances, sinks, taps and accessories or necessities.

Our aim is to produce and install furniture to the highest possible standards, to make the experience smooth, seamless and to delight our customers. We use only the nest quality timber with the richest natural colour and smoothest grain. Our drawers are made of solid wood with traditional dovetail joints, ensuring they will last you for years. When you commission furniture from Simon Taylor Furniture, you are in safe hands. A project manager oversees the work for you through every stage, from the rst designs to the nal touches.

We build our furniture so that it will last for generations. Wherever possible, we source our materials from sustainable resources and we use methods that are friendly to the environment. We also believe in recycling. If it is viable, we will remove your previous kitchen or bathroom so that it can re-enter the circular economy and not be sent to landfill. We will handle the entire removal process for you and we will also provide a part exchange on your new project, or make a donation to charity.
