The company is also registered as Part P Domestic Installers and carries the government TrustMark status. We use materials of good quality that conform to the relevant British Standards, undergoing regular inspection by the NICEIC Area Engineers and we are bound by the NICEIC rules. We employ only qualified competent electricians who are properly supervised and receive ongoing training paid for by K A Goulden Electrical, including City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection. All work carried out by us is guaranteed parts and labour for one year and a further guarantee for Part P Compliance and BS7671 is paid for each time we notify work to the NICEIC online.
Among our many services we carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing). When this has been completed we provide one bound computer print out and one extra copy of all the Assets, Test Results and Repairs carried out as per the IEE Code of Practice.
The current British Standards require that domestic electrical systems are inspected at least every ten years, but preferably sooner. K A Goulden Electrical carries out hundreds of inspections in domestic properties every year. Once the inspection is completed you will be provided with either a ‘Satisfactory Certificate' or an ‘Unsatisfactory Certificate' together with a comprehensive list of remedial works required, accompanied by an estimate to carry out the works. For any work carried out by Spalding electricians, K A Goulden Electrical, a one year parts and labour guarantee is provided.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (previously known as a Periodic Inspection), is a safety inspection of the electrical system. It involves carrying out an extensive number of visual and physical tests on an existing electrical installation. During the inspection our electrician will assess the current state of the electrical system and therefore be able to advise you on the safe condition of the installation. We can then issue you with an NICEIC test and report certificate on the condition of the electrical installation which will advise you on any issues that do not conform to the BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations).
You MOT and service your car at great cost annually, but hopefully you don't sleep in it 7-8 hours a night. Having your electrical system tested means you can sleep easy & stay comfy at home, not in your car! We recommend you consult our qualified electrical engineers because as technology advances there are ever changing policies. New Safety updates to the Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671 17th Edition are complex and many electricians have been returning to College to achieve the qualification.
This is a money saving scheme by local councils where street lights are being turned off from midnight until 6am. Even if you're lucky enough to have your street lights still on, you can protect your home even more by having LED lighting installed to come on during the night.
The advantages to our company, K A Goulden Electrical, have been literally that we've recovered the first six months cost within two months of putting them in the vehicles, the drivers are not using them for private use, as they were before, and the journey times have been cut because they're going more direct instead of going off and picking up something on the way. So financially it's been really good for us. We are electrical contractors and we do a lot of domestic work, commercial works and industrial works, starting with inspection work, periodic inspections, carrying right through to the repairs and new installations such as rewires of houses or factories, shops, anywhere in the UK.
The variety of work offered covers from the installation of both three phase power and single phase power, to upgrades of lighting installations to help save money with energy saving lamps. Every industrial location is different, so we consider your individual requirements to calculate the size of the electrical distribution throughout the site. Starting with your supply transformer, we can install multiple switchgear, moulded case circuit breaker distribution boards and miniature circuit breaker boards to feed your final circuits.
