This property used to have a traditional Welsh slate roof that was stripped back to its bear rafters and stored to re-use. Welsh slate is very expensive and looks absolutley traditional when taken off and cleaned. These slates have been on the roof for nearly a hundred years and have many more years of life in them. We added only 15% re-claimed, as some where damaged while stripping the roof back. We also built up the chimney stack to give it a more much character and more draw with a new top cowl.
