Canford Magna Garden Centre opened in 2006 after months of planning & work. The store is located directly opposite the entrance to Canford Park Arena along Magna Road, a route between Wimborne and Bournemouth. Formerly Canford Park Garden Centre (in the years prior to 2006) before it was renamed to Canford Magna Garden Centre. The store now sells a larger selection of quality garden products than ever before and this continues to grow. Along with what you'd expect from any garden centre, we also have many plants potted on-site, example landscaped areas and help and advice for your garden.
Established in 1866 we are today one of the South West's leading garden centres and nurseries run by the sixth generation of our family, Charlie and Becky, who together oversee the running of both the main garden centre in Bridport and the smaller sister nursery Little Groves based in Beaminster. Although we also stock a very wide range of leisure and general gardening products, plus have a very well stocked pet shop, we are at heart a traditional nursery dedicated to producing top quality plants.
We now have three Garden centres, a Nursery and a Landscaping division, all based in Dorset and Hampshire; our Garden centres are in Christchurch, Broomhill (just outside Wimborne) and we recently acquired Abbey Garden centre in Titchfield, Fareham. We offer a comprehensive choice of expertly sourced products and services for the home and garden. The New Forest has always been close to our hearts at Stewarts. From the stunning wildlife and vegetation to the outdoor activities and traditional crafts, you couldn't really ask for.
Established in 1974 Forest Edge Nurseries are a major supplier of heathers located centrally in the South of the country and supplying throughout the UK. The nursery provides a wide selection of new, established and novel varieties to nurseries, garden centres and the landscape trade. As a specialist grower we are able to provide the attention to detail that the plant and market requires, with a prompt and reliable delivery service. We source the newest and best varieties from Europe and the USA to enable the supply of a comprehensive range of plants, exhibiting the best flower and foliage colour and providing interest throughout the year.
