You can lower your home's carbon footprint as well as your energy bills with electric heating, new gas boilers, and home insulation. We also offer boiler insurance, service and repair options to give you a peace of mind. Are you a homeowner or a landlord in England? With the Green Homes Grant you could get a voucher worth up to 10,000 to help with energy efficiency improvements such as loft insulation, or an air source heat pump. When it comes to reversing climate change we're not just talking the talk.

With the right policies in place, we plan to enable investment in low carbon technologies in the UK worth over 50bn by 2035. This amounts to 12GW of wind, solar and nuclear power - meeting one fifth of UK demand. We're a responsible business and proud to be Britain's biggest generator of zero carbon electricity(1). But with size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more. We're one of the UK's leading renewable energy companies, owning 35 wind farms - including two off-shore. We also own Europe's largest operational battery storage unit, a technology which is making renewables a more stable part of the energy mix.

You can use smart home devices to adjust your lighting, heating and electronics automatically or remotely with your voice, phone or a computer. There are many different product options available - from smart bulbs and thermostats to secure smart locks and windows. Imagine switching a lamp on with a single word, or the heating through your phone before you even get home. We're here to help you live the future and show you the best smart home devices available.

It may come as a surprise that electric car maintenance is far simpler than maintenance of a regular vehicle. With fewer moving parts, there's far less to worry about. This makes electric car servicing and maintenance much easier and more cost effective. This is a bonus for any driver and provides and even bigger benefit for high mileage fleet car and van owners. It's simple really. Think of all the parts that make up a regular car. The engine, a radiator, pistons, spark plugs, fuel pumps, cooling systems, exhaust system and timing belt to name but a few.

If you're a landlord, letting agent or builder please phone us and we'll help you with the energy supply at your property.

Companies are rushing to cut carbon emissions and switch to renewable energy. But it's not like flicking a switch. There's a surprising number of factors to weigh up as you choose the renewable energy sourcing strategy that's best for your business. Andy Peyman outlines the various clean energy sourcing strategies for businesses and explains their relative pros and cons. Want more detail? Watch our webinar where Andy dives deeper into the world of renewables. If you want your electricity supply sourced from a particular renewable technology or from a geographic region, our Select Renewable option gives you the flexibility, offering a strong sustainability message.

A typical house with no insulation will lose 33% of heat through walls and 25% through the roof(1) - Get insulation installed and save up to 530 per year on bills(2). The Green Homes Grant scheme has just been announced. Most people can get 66% off insulation up to 5,000 but if you're a low-income household, you could get it completely free up to 10,000. By improving your home's insulation, you'll be playing your part in reducing the effect of global warming. Simply put, you use less energy to keep your home warm, lowering your carbon footprint and energy bill.

As Britain's biggest generator of zero carbon electricity(1), we're committed to Net Zero by 2050. Our heating solutions can help you lower your home's carbon footprint as well as your energy bills. Adding insulation to your loft, walls and floor can save you up to 530 per year(2), wasting less energy and lowering your home's carbon emissions. Insulation starts from just 136 including the Green Homes Grant or you could get it completely free. With a boiler ban on the horizon, it's a great time to think about replacing your existing gas boiler with an air source heat pump.

EDF is leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission electric future, tackling climate change and helping Britain achieve Net Zero. We are Britain's biggest generator of zero carbon electricity(1). Around a fifth of the UK's electricity is generated by our eight nuclear power stations, helping power our customers' homes and businesses. EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C, and plans for new power stations at Sizewell C in Suffolk and Bradwell B in Essex.

Britain has committed to eliminating harmful carbon emissions by 2050. This goal is referred to as 'Net Zero'. To achieve it we need to stop using polluting fossil fuels, such as coal and gas, while increasing generation from renewables and nuclear. Sizewell C would provide dependable baseload electricity which, along with renewables such as wind and solar energy, will support the growth of the future low carbon economy and reduce the need for imported generation. After years of public consultation, the planning application for Sizewell C has been accepted for examination by the UK's Planning Inspectorate.

A new A-rated energy-efficient boiler will use less gas than an older boiler that will save you up to 315 per year on bills(1) and reduce your carbon footprint. Save up to 530 on energy bills(2) wrapping your home with insulation, as less heat is wasted by escaping out of your home. Your new boiler will last longer too as it's not working as hard to heat your home. Now could be a great time to invest in an air source heat pump. In addition to helping the environment, you could save up to 2,755 over 10 years(3), due to the Green Homes Grant and Renewable Heat Incentive subsidies, and lower running costs than a gas boiler.

With the UK boiler ban on the horizon and government subsidies for heating to support the switch to low-carbon alternatives like for electric cars, the range of electric heating options is increasing. Upgrade your old storage heater to the Dimplex Quantum, the most advanced, economical, off-peak electric heater on the market. Get heat when you need it, not when you don't. Air source heat pumps create heat from outside air. Unlike a new gas boiler, they can last for 20 years or more(2), save you 1,696 over 10 years and put 68% less carbon(3) out into the world.

What's new?

We'd like to say a big THANK YOU this Friday to the EDF Renewables teams at our Dorenell, Fens, Livingston, Teesside and Aberystwyth service centres for the donations they made to local food banks in December and January.
