Great service for our recent move. Leslie handled our booking and communicated with us very clearly throughout. Ben and Jack on the day turned up early and were very well presented, polite and knowledgeable. They had us packed, moved and unpacked within five hours. The price was fantastic value for money, especially given the service we had. I'm very glad we chose Shires Removal Group.

Couldn’t recommend this company highly enough. Packed our house up in 2hrs, took unbelievable care of everything and unpacked everything at the other end. Made everything extremely seem less and stress free! The two lads were extremely friendly. The whole experience was brilliant. Amazing company!

I can highly recommend The Shires Removal Group from the Admin Team, Lesley and Dawn to the packing and removal team, Danny B, David, Danny, Sunny and Jack. I have recently located from Wakefield to Newton Abbot some 283 miles and booked the whole package with Shires, packing and removal over 4 days. Stressed and anxious I was, until I opened the door to this team of great guys with their warm welcome and smiling faces. We left them to what they know best and the whole removal process was seamless. I would not hesitate to recommend them, but we had used Shires before and went back to what we knew would be a great service from them. Many thanks Shires.

Known this company for 25 years, we work with them in the industry. All I can say is they are honest, professional and one of the best. Crews are well trained, vehicle fleet immaculate and well maintained. Furniture and goods are handled with care, staff are polite and helpful. These are one of the good guys in the business and I would trust them with any of the most fragile items. Highly recommended.

Shires responded quickly to our request for a quotation and visited our home to perform a thorough inspection of the work involved within a few days of our first telephone call. They were friendly and helpful from our first conversation. It was necessary to re-arrange our moving date, but Shires made it very clear that this could be done as long as we knew our deadline for doing so.
The team that carried out our job were brilliant! Friendly, careful with our belongings, efficient, and double-checked if in any doubt. All details and procedures were carefully explained to us throughout the process. When the time came to deliver our belongings from storage, Shires were nice again, very accommodating. Some removals firms only perform an evaluation of the job by means of a video call. Shires did a thorough hone visit which is crucial to getting the job right.
Nothing was damaged in transit. Everything was delivered with care. The price for the work was very fair considering we were moving a decent distance. I would have complete confidence in using Shires again and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a move. The office team are ALL very helpful and well informed. The removals team that we met were total diamonds. Keep them supplied in tea and a bacon butty and they will look after you! Thanks a million guys and girls.

We would just like to say what a professional company this turned out to be when we used them for our house contents removal from Queensbury to Riddlesden on 3rd. December 2020. Booking was made without any fuss with the help of the superbly efficient and friendly Polly, the van arrived early which gave us a head start and the two young guys doing the lifting and carrying (Ryan and Mark) were fantastic working tirelessly to get us out of our old address well before the allotted time, can't praise this company and the guys enough and I'm please to say that the care they took resulted in absolutely no damage whatsoever, I would recommend Shires to anyone looking for a good reliably remover. Shires have been absolutely brilliant throughout our move from Edinburgh to the Barnsley area. They arrived at 9pm sharp on Monday morning and by 5pm they had fully packed our house, loaded it up, AND taken a trip to a storage unit 10 miles away. Delivery today was done within a few hours, and equally as quick and professional. Whenever I've spoken to people in the office (not that I needed too much but we did have several issues with our completion dates on the new house), they've been polite and friendly - even getting to know us as soon I called, but that was down to it being an Edinburgh dialing code.
Price wise their quote was about in the middle of the range we had, but their flexibility with regards to storing our stuff (if needed) was what swayed it for us - it's a little difficult to choose a removal firm if it's your first time moving, so we were a bit overwhelmed with having to get multiple quotes, estimate volumes and try to get bookings etc. BUT we cannot fault Shires in their job. Thank you, and if we ever do move again (it won't be for another ten years) we'll certainly come to Shires first.

Seamless and professional service from start to finish. All the staff in the office are very helpful and friendly when arranging the booking and then on the day 2 x man team (Marc & Ryan) arrived promptly and immediately set about clearing our old home. Very polite throughout the whole day. Highly recommended.

I have just moved to Colwyn Bay from Yorkshire and used Shires Removals. The level of service we were given has been excellent from start to finish. The move has been made virtually stressfree thanks to all involved. The lads loading the vans worked tirelessly despite the exceptional hot weather as did those unloading. I have been very impressed with the whole experience and will certainly recommend Shires to anyone wishing to employ a removal company.

This is the second time we have used Shires and would use them again no problem. Fantastic service from getting the quote to taking the last piece of furniture off. It was one if the hottest days and they worked their socks off. Never stopping only for a quick drink that I made them both have as it was so hot. I cannot stress how brilliant this firm is made a day that could have been stressful a pleasure keeping me calm and reassured me throughout the process. FANTASTIC

From the initial home visit by Darren to the patience of the office staff whilst the exchange and completion dates were finally agreed upon to loading and unloading of the spotless wagon by Matt, Pete and Leon the service was professional, faultless and full of humour. This firm managed and sorted my removal with ease. Brilliantly organised from the office to our home. The two guys Dean and Ash were marvellous they worked as a great team and with loads of patience and stamina. They didn't rush us, talked us through everything.
