We offer our asbestos survey services across London, Kent, Essex, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Middlesex, Cambridgeshire, and throughout the United Kingdom. All our surveyors have at least 10 years of experience, and our lab, used for sample analysis, is UKAS accredited.
Asbestos Removal
As fully independent asbestos consultants, we do not perform asbestos removal ourselves. However, we can manage asbestos removal projects of any size. We facilitate this by obtaining quotations for the removal of asbestos-containing materials and overseeing the entire removal process on your behalf. Before any refurbishment or demolition work, all asbestos should be removed to prevent disturbance of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
Asbestos Re-inspection Survey
After conducting an Asbestos Management Survey, it is essential to manage any identified asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) effectively and comply with regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012). To fulfill the duty to manage, asbestos should be re-inspected, and its condition monitored every 12 months. The data collected from the asbestos re-inspection will be used to update the Asbestos Register within the Asbestos Report. Additionally, asbestos re-inspections can update the Asbestos Survey Report following any asbestos removal or repair work.
Asbestos Testing
Supernova Asbestos Surveys offers asbestos sample testing through a UKAS-accredited laboratory (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). Our testing adheres to the highest standards as outlined in the HSG264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide. We handle everything from single sample tests to comprehensive site surveys with unlimited samples. Asbestos bulk sampling is available for one-off situations where builders or duty holders need to determine if a material contains asbestos. All test results are emailed within 24 hours.

This company is the fastest and most responsive company I asked for a quote for asbestos inspection before we finished our property purchase. I submitted a form on the website on a Saturday evening and I already received their feedback and response on Sunday early morning from Annabel. The process was very straightforward and easy. Very good customer service. I am not sure how much others charge but our invoice was 197, and I found it very reasonable. We received the report within 1 working day. I would recommend their service.

Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Competitive pricing. However - be aware of the limitations. To be fair, these are probably standard to all companies doing such surveys but it's worth noting that areas that are inaccessible will not be tested. For instance, if you are planning to replace your flooring, you need to make sure it's tested too, because there can be asbestos tiles in some properties. (They are often hidden and covered by other layers of flooring, boards, laminate, etc.).
When my survey was taken, the floor was not exposed so the layers underneath it were not tested. We got the survey result confirming no asbestos in the property. However, we then started replacing the floor and in the process we exposed what seemed like asbestos tiles underneath. I contacted Supernova and they immediately sent their surveyor for a follow up survey free of charge.
It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation - you cannot start works until you know there is no asbestos, but you cannot test for asbestos in all areas until you start the works. Just flagging so others learn from this experience. In any case, I recommend Supernova as I think they acted according to the limitations they flagged and they supported me in the follow up survey when it turned out it was needed.

Annabel was fantastic in her communication from the moment I submitted a request for a quote and up until I received a report (which was within 2 working days, i.e. samples taken and payment made on Saturday, and report came through on Tuesday afternoon). Excellent value for money too. I was worried about the implications of asbestos in the cement water tank but the contractor (Matthew) who did the survey explained everything to give me peace of mind. Very professional service and credible company, and would absolutely recommend to friends.
