Conservatory slipped panels are a common occurence on a conservatory roof. Slipped panels are one of the leading causes of leaks and draughts. Has the glazing unit come off it’s support glazing bar Have the end caps snapped off Has the roof panel come all the way down into the gutter Will the panel move or is it wedged tight In our experience, one of the most common causes for a conservatory roof leaking is due to conservatory roof panels slipping. Slipped roof panels typically create a gap at the ridge of the roof through which water can enter, along with cold drafts and noise. It is also possible for conservatory roof panels to move sideways, sometimes coming off the support rafter bar, ultimately allowing water to drip inside the conservatory.
Conservatory Skylights or roof vents are often fitted in a conservatory roof to maintain an ambient temperature in your conservatory and allow heat build-up to escape through the roof. Water leaks can occur from skylights as conservatory ages. This could be due to gaskets perishing, movement in the roof components or a combination of the two. Within the skylight there are a series of drainage channels which can become blocked. Trying to seal the leaking skylight from the inside with silicone will only trap the water inside the framework. We work on all brands of electric and manual skylights.
Conservatory muntin bars are required when glass conservatory roof panels are over a certain length, these panels are generally made in two sections joined together by a sealing strip. What to do if you have a leaking conservatory roof? How do you fix these leaks between the panels? Why does the conservatory roof leak in different places? Why does the leak travel across the roof? Why does the water run down the internal beams? With all these different scenarios it can be quite baffling for the homeowner to know where the water is entering the conservatory roof. When the conservatory roof is installed the two pieces of oversized roof glass are connected together and are generally sealed with a silicone joint. Over time and as the roof ages the silicone can then deteriorate causing the seals to allow water to penetrate through. In our experience, the source of conservatory roof leaks associated with muntin bars is often difficult to trace.
Unfortunately, having attended our conservatory to effect repairs at the ends of 2021, all the leaks, with the exception of the re-seated and re-sealed skylight, have returned.
I've tried unsuccessfully to contact the company, both by email and telephone, to invoke my 12 month warranty.
Their website, www.conservatoryrescue.co.uk, is still accessible for any unsuspecting potential clients.
Having spent nearly £1000, with almost nothing to show, I feel t I've been scammed by Conservatory Rescue and would strongly suggest that their listing is removed from Tradesmenup.
Thanks for resolving the leaks in our conservatory roof, finally can use our room again!
At the end of June you resolved the leak in my conservatory which had been causing problems for several years. Before I found you I had spent literally thousands on a series of workmen who claimed to know what to do but didn”t. I had got to the stage where I was considering replacing the glazed roof in its entirety.
Since June, every time it rains I have looked anxiously at the wall hardly daring to believe. But it’s true. You sorted it and I will recommend you to everybody.
Thank you

Big thank you to all at Conservatory Rescue for finally resolving the issues with our box gutter. I can’t tell you how many roofers I had trying to fix it over the years.
