All testing is carried out by friendly, fully qualified City & Guild electricians with enhanced CRB clearance. We reserve the right to charge for our time if we have to wait unduly or if the appliance is difficult to access. Each item will have it's own unique ID and label for easy identification. Once the testing is complete you will receive two copies of your certification paperwork through e-mail and by post for your convenience and we aim to do this on the same day. Electrical safety obligations are not limited to business and offices.

We are a family run business known for our professional and friendly approach through our commitment to excellent service and providing value for money. We have a highly skilled and motivated workforce and provide a full range of electrical testing services including PAT Testing, Thermal Imaging, Fire Alarm Testing, Emergency Lighting Testing, Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR - also known as Fixed Wire Testing) and Periodic Testing. As well as this we also offer Installation work for both homes and businesses.

At Birmingham PAT Testing we test and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure you and your employees are safer in the event of a fire. Smoke detectors and heat detectors are the most common types of detectors used in fire alarm systems in residential and commercial premises. The automatic fire detection system should be serviced, inspected and tested in accordance with BS 5839: Part 1: 2002 - Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. Fire alarm systems need to be serviced and tested at by a competent person at different intervals regarding whether the system is powered by mains or battery.

The Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is the examination and testing of the circuits contained within the fabric of a clients building. This includes the socket outlets, lighting circuits, static machinery and various other circuits. In a word; Yes. The two main dangers associated with electricity are the risk of shock and the possibility of fire. Over a period of time those risks are increased because installations deteriorate and it is in the best interests of not only yourself and your employees, but also your insurance company, that you have an installation that is not only electrically sound but also free from the risk of fire.
