We will survey the whole of your building, creating a log of your emergency lighting to include the location and type of fitting as well as giving each fitting an identification number. Once the log has been created we will then carry out an annual 3 hour drain test which entails allowing your emergency fittings to come on until flat. During the 3 hour test our engineer will walk the building checking random fittings internally and listing all faults found in the log. Any fitting that does not last the duration will be marked in the log as failed.
We offer a full remedial service to rectify faults which are highlighted during our inspection and test. With over 30 years of experience our engineers will offer the most cost effective resolution to your faults, whilst ensuring that the safety and effectiveness of your electrical installation are not impaired. All our engineers are fully qualified JIB Approved Electricians with 17th edition IEE regulation accreditation. We pride ourselves on good standards of workmanship along with excellent client Liaison.
At Safe Test UK, we verify, as far as is reasonably practical, that the company's portable electrical appliances are in safe condition to satisfy the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and comply with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, The Electricity at Work (Northern Ireland) 1991and the latest HSE Guidelines. We recommend that portable appliance testing is carried out on an annual basis, however the appropriate frequency of testing will be dependent on the design of the appliance (Class I or Class II), how easy it is to move and where it is used.
