I've been in the building trade all my working life, it's all I've ever known. I didn't even wait until I left school to learn the craft; I was taught at a very early age in all aspects of the work. I'm very proud to now be at the head of our family firm of building contractors, carrying on our reputation for high quality craftmanship. Our clients have always come first, so you can be sure that I and my team work to your requirements. We're based in Torquay and current projects include design & build, new builds and heritage restorations across the South West.

Steve was great! We appreciated his quality, completing the work on time (also turned up on time unlike others) and his honesty. Steve did a big refit for us replacing our boiler, new radiators and a new bathroom. We recommend Steve every day of the week.

Honestly.. if you want someone who is honest, talented, reasonably priced and experienced, look no further!! This company came to fix our boiler and ended up doing further work and fitting our new shower! We will never use anyone else now. This is a great contact to have for all your plumbing needs! Steve is clearly a master of his trade and also provided useful advice on related construction matters whilst he completed a full initial instal of a gas central heating system of which i am fully satisfied. Peace of mind with the glow worm 10 year guarantee also

Would not recommend. Hardly ever turned up, and would often then leave to work on other sites. Poor quality workmanship. Over inflated invoices. Didnt follow architect directions. Poor health and safety. Les Joint cost me thousands of pounds in remedial building works and legal costs. Les Joint previously traded as the sole proprietor of "Les Joint Building Contractors" and is now subject to a Bankruptcy Order by the Official Receiver under ref BKT5121810 of 30/03/2021. These details are publicly available on the Insolvency Register website. If employing another local contractor be advised that a new company with a similar name "Les Joint Building Contractors Ltd" is now operating from the same office. These details are publicly available on Companies House website. Les Joint has also been working for this new company. You may wish to make sure you know which company and which builder you are dealing with. Les Joint abandoned one project at a critical stage, and had a High Court Money Order issued against him which remains unpaid. I would not like to see anyone else treated in this way. This information is correct at the time of posting (01/07/2021).

Very friendly and professional service. I had to have a new boiler installed along with a new flue pipe going through a granite wall. I’d been let down by my usual plumber so was a bit nervous of Toby & Steve but they were great. Always turned up on time, worked very cleanly and obviously new their stuff. I now have a lovely new boiler and still have a clean house. Would really recommend these guys.
