For those homes that are not connected to the UK's gas network, an oil-powered central heating system is an alternative way to heat your home. An oil central heating system works in a similar way to a gas-powered system but uses an oil-fired boiler to heat water, providing central heating via radiators and hot water through the taps. The main difference between the two systems is that you will need to have your oil supply delivered and stored in a tank, and you will need to remember to order your oil in plenty of time before you run out!
EPH have in excess of 20 years' experience as electrical contractors. We have a wide range of experience in all areas of electrical installations, ranging from small domestic projects to large commercial and agricultural installations.
SYSTEM BOILERS - these are designed to generate heat for your home as well as hot water that can be stored in a separate hot water storage cylinder. This can be situated anywhere in your home with no need for a separate tank in the loft.
We carry out Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T.) whereby each portable appliance is given an 'Asset Number' for recording purposes and future identification. This enables a 'history' of the appliance to be built which can be referred back to at any time.
The correct heating controls will let you set your heating and hot water to come on and go off when you need them, heat just the areas of your home that you want and to decide how warm you want each area to be. By turning down your room thermostat by just one degree you could save around 65. You can upgrade or install heating controls without replacing your boiler. Modern room thermostats are much more accurate than they used to be and it is a good idea to replace heating controls if they are over 12 years old.
