The only place I could source this variety of quality hardwood was from large hardwood suppliers and saw mills. The problem I found was they had little interest in my small orders and if they would sell it to me the cost would well outweigh the worth of the project I had in mind. Even small hardwood suppliers such as wood turning shops which would let me wander and look simply didn't have the mix of species and sizes to allow me to push the projects and skills to the next level. Our warehouse shop is stocked to the rafters with every shape and size, species and variety all laid out and individually priced per item in each section of our shop, from the wood turners, box makers and plaque makers racks to boards and beams for the furniture makers and everything in between.
Needed more time, more money or less choice. What a place. It's like the best bits of the various web sites I use for wood, made physical, all in one place, with a top guy on hand if you need him. Excellent.
