Murphy Specialist Welding Services (SWS) is a frontrunner in its industry. We provide project services to the energy sector, the external piping fabrication and specialist welding markets throughout the UK, Ireland and Canada. Among our specialisms are welding engineering, material engineering and non-destructive testing (NDT). Our base and fabrication site in Leeds is the perfect platform from which to carry out these activities. It features 1,800 square metres of welding space, huge lifting capacity and our own painting and pressure testing facilities.

The Urban Infrastructure team completes projects that involve hard landscaping, utilities and drainage upgrades, the construction of new roads, the installation of street furniture and other public realm work. We also have a proven track record delivering challenging basement formation projects, involving piling, bulk excavation, earthworks and more. Murphy Electrical is a multi-disciplined team who design, contract and manage all aspects of electrical projects. We have the capacity to carry out works throughout the UK. We are a driven and dynamic team comprised of project managers, engineers and supervisors who are experienced in delivering electrical, control and instrumentation works. Operating in high-risk environments, we understand the importance of safety. Our 'Never Harm' value is embedded into our culture and the way we work. We provide full electrical contracting services across our five sectors of Transportation; Power; Water; Natural Resources; and Construction & Property.

The Utility Connections team has expanded our scope and operational activities extensively, leading to an increased presence in the south west and south east of England. We have also become an Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) and Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), allowing us to own and operate electricity and gas networks. We work on construction projects of all sizes, including installing mains, and altering and disconnecting services for a wealth of commercial developments. We also provide essential electricity, water and gas supplies for domestic developments on time and within budget.

For over 65 years, Murphy has maintained an in-house bridge team responsible for delivering many high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK. We use innovative and modern construction methods, to ensure that we minimise costs and disruption for our client's projects. Our 'One Murphy' approach combines our key services such as design consultancy, bridge fabrication facilities, specialist piling, ground engineering, and our privately-owned plant and equipment. This approach makes us uniquely placed to self-deliver bridge projects safely and successfully for our clients and stakeholders.

Our UK tankage team specialise in site-built storage tanks as a construct only or EPC delivery, including tank design and commissioning. We also offer complimentary tank inspection, refurbishment, maintenance and mechanical, fabrication, pipework services and weld procedure development. We have an industry-leading pre-fabrication facility in Leeds, where our hydrotest and painting facilities are also based. With more than 55 years of experience in storage tank construction and maintenance, we have extensive expertise in supporting you with routine maintenance, simple one-off builds, as well as the most complex multi-build and large tank farms.
