Richard's journey began in 1983 at the age of 16 on a Youth Training Scheme as a carpet fitter. In 2000 Richard set up a business as an independent carpet fitting service, offering his skills direct to the customer, during the first two years Richard was constantly asked if he knew a good carpet cleaning service so in 2002 purchased a carpet cleaning package and undertook basic training with the suppliers. Richard has now trained and passed the exams to become: a member of the National Carpet Cleaners Association, an approved fitter of the National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers, a member of Woolsafe, and passed higher grade exams with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification organisation as well as being assessed by the British Institute of Cleaning Science in 2019.
