In a nutshell, we're all about supporting UK garden businesses. We're proud to count 1,400 garden retailers, growers, manufacturers and landscapers in our members. Watch the video or read on to find out how we help our members! Everything we do is for the benefit of our members and the focus of our activities are driven by member feedback. We don't have shareholders, and our only purpose is to support our members. If you're interested in finding out more about us or joining, just click on the headings below.
We've run the National Garden Gift Voucher scheme since 1962. It creates around two million visits to garden centres and retail nurseries every year, and leave millions of gardeners delighted. The scheme is all about promoting gardening and gardening good causes; it's the UK's longest running gardening promotion. Gardens do so much good for our health, happiness, and environment; we need to do all we can to promote these benefits to the public. We support promotions like National Children's Gardening Week and gardening good causes like Greenfingers Charity with the National Garden Gift Voucher scheme.
Conifers are a wonderful way of adding colour and shape to your garden - and because the vast majority are evergreen, the effect will last the whole year! But what many people don't realise is that there is an amazing choice of different shades, shapes and sizes ranging from tiny dwarfs to magnificent trees. As long as you have chosen the right site, most conifers are easy to look after, requiring only a little pruning and watering. They are generally pretty disease resistant and just need a little loving care during really cold spells.
Great news for our members in Wales today - garden centres can reopen from 22 March. We're delighted with this result and will continue to push for the same result in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Thanks to everyone who signed the petition. http://ow.ly/ jPJg50DX5pj
