Mains Service works, we are approved framework contractors for Scottish Water, SSE, Scotia Gas Networks, BT and are authorised to carry out underground pipework installations and repairs, mains water pipeworks and repairs, surface water drainage and soakaways.
Calmax Construction Ltd founded the company on 8th September 1999 and since then has expanded to incorporate Blackwater Surveying Services Ltd and Calmax Civils Ltd. The principal aim of CalMax Construction Ltd. is to provide a high quality construction service to Western Isles customers both in Local Authority and Private Sectors covering Private and Commercial contracts, House-building, Maintenance Contracts and Civil Engineering projects. Each member of the current workforce has been selectively employed to ensure that a high standard of workmanship is maintained and, since company formation, the workforce has grown from 3 staff and 5 operatives to present levels of 6 staff and 55 operatives.
CalMax Construction Ltd offer a turn key service from initial conception, through construction to final completion documents and the hand over of the key to a high quality completed home. We have a strong working relationship with Timber Kit companies, but are also capable of designing bespoke house designs to meet the individual clients wants and needs. From an initial meeting with the client we can apply and obtain building warrant, carry out drainage design, appoint sub contractors, provide CAD drawings and Project Manage the build to completion.
Calmax Civils Ltd provide a CCTV Camera Survey Service for surveying below ground drainage. The surveys are undertaken by trained operatives and the completed survey is compiled into a report detailing the findings of the survey and making recommendations of the repairs required. This service will assist in identifying defects without abortive excavations allowing cost effective repairs with minimal disruption.
