I have been a keen gardener for 30 years. Thirteen years ago I decided to obtain a professional qualification in garden design, with the intention. Although I have a small, ordinary garden plot in the middle of a modern housing estate, I was delighted when my garden was accepted into the National Gardens Scheme. I opened my garden to the public for the first time on 29th June 2014. We had 130 visitors to the garden and made 500 for the NGS cancer charities. I received some lovely comments about the garden including this one from Pam and Greg who live in Wigan Just to say how much we enjoyed our visit to your garden yesterday.
