At Philip Whear Windows and Conservatories we pride ourselves on quality design and craftsmanship, creating unique, bespoke designs that really enhance your home. Our 2000sqft showroom is open six days a week, so do drop in and see what we can do for you. Our expert consultants are on hand to guide you through the process from initial design to final product. We have over 30 years of experience of designing and manufacturing and have a reputation for quality products, excellent workmanship as well as genuine after sales service.

We are a small firm designing and manufacturing in Cornwall's heartlands. We have a team of 22 designers, surveyors, fabricators and fitters all based at our Pool site. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and are renowned for our ability to take on complex jobs that others turn away. Philip taught 'Design and Technology' for a number of years in Wiltshire, before returning to his native Cornwall to begin forming the business as we know it today. He started the business working from home, buying products from Plymouth.

We supply aluminium, hardwood timber and uPVC bi-folding doors, which have become very popular in recent years. Our bi-folding doors are offered in a range of sizes and configurations with up to a maximum of seven leaves, depending on size and configuration, making a very flexible solution for openings of all sizes. Gables are an elegant and stylish type of conservatory. A great choice for properties with gable ends, and also very in keeping with many period homes. We sometimes incorporate a variation on the typical gable end, by making full height glass panels without any horizontal interruptions, giving a very stylish vertical look. Here in Cornwall, many of us are lucky enough to have wonderful views of the coast or countryside. Our frameless glass balustrades give an amazing uninterrupted view of the scenery beyond. If a framed or semi-frameless balustrade is your preference, we can supply and fit large panes of glass for a cleaner design with fewer posts to obstruct your view. Because we are never too far from the coast here in Cornwall, our tubular posts and handrails are made with marine grade 316 stainless steel - to keep your balustrade looking superb for a long time to come.

We supply and install top quality vertical sliding windows, which guarantee strength and colour stability. Otherwise known as Victorian sliders or sashes, there are one of the most traditional styles of window, however when combined with modern materials, you get all the benefits of traditional styling without the maintenance. Working principally in kiln dried mahogany hardwood from West Africa (with other timbers available to order) we manufacture from renewable and sustainable timber which is FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified.
