No matter how cold it gets outside, the ground stays at a relatively constant temperature all year round - at least, it does below the surface. This heat can be used to heat your home through the installation of a ground source heat pump. Pipes are buried in your garden, and fluid is circulated around them. The fluid absorbs heat from the ground, which passes into an exchanger that raises the temperature to the point that it can provide heating and hot water for your home.
