We make sure our curtain linings are hand sewn into the fabric as standard, so that your new curtains hang beautifully for real wow factor. It may be that you have existing curtains that need a new lease of life - we can sprinkle our Sophie Sews magic over them too, adding new linings or contrasting borders to work alongside a different colour scheme.

If you require furniture for your interior spaces, we work directly with two preferred furniture partners - Clarke & Clarke and Sofa.com. Clarke & Clarke are one of our favourite fabric designers and we are delighted to say that they now stock and sell gorgeous statement chairs - all of which can be ordered directly through Sophie Sews. From the dramatic Antoinette dining chair in glorious Emma Shipley fabric, to the luxurious Odette bedroom chair in a floral Oasis-branded design, every piece is beautifully styled and handmade.

Our bespoke made to measure blinds are hand finished to ensure the perfect dressing for every window. Available in any fabric you choose, and in a wide variety of designs, they are a wonderful way to enhance your interior space and frame your exterior view. Choose from modern or traditional blind solutions - bright patterned fabrics in a smart roman blind, or neutral sheers in a roller blind. Just like windows and doors, blinds can come in every shape and size too. Our team can visit your home to help you decide exactly what type of blind works for you, but as a general rule, all our Sophie Sews blinds fit into the categories below.

At Sophie Sews we don't just create bespoke curtains and blinds but we can also supply a range of designer fabrics and wallpapers too. Perhaps you are looking for ten metres of baroque velvet for a bedroom throw, or a roll or two of wallpaper for a wardrobe interior, either way we can order and deliver your fabrics and papers to you within days. Our trade accounts with some of the leading designer fabric manufacturers means we can offer you competitive pricing as well as convenience, and the Sophie Sews shop is always open for browsing our sample books too.

At Sophie Sews we specialise in curtains and blinds for every type of window and door, in every style of property, but our customers particularly value our expertise and understanding when it comes to unique and challenging spaces. Bay windows are fabulous features and deserve to be dressed with exactly the right curtain or blind. But bays can be complicated too - the right solution has to be practical, as well as beautiful. The Sophie Sews team are experts in detailed measurement, careful rail selection, and appropriate hardware choice.

At Sophie Sews we create bespoke curtains, blinds and soft furnishings for your home. Crucially though, we don't just work with our own preferred fabric designers and suppliers. We are also happy to create unique handmade products with your own fabrics, to work with pre-existing curtains and blinds, or even create brand new window dressings from wonderful vintage treasures for a completely unique touch. We also love making cushions, headboards and pelmets that can accessorise every inch of your space, and we can advise on paint and furniture purchase too.

After a childhood spent endlessly redecorating and reorganising her bedroom, Sophie Wickenden completed a BTEC national diploma in Interior Design before setting her sights on curtain and blind making for her customers across Surrey and Hampshire. Since founding Sophie Sews in 2012, Sophie's client base has grown to over 500 Surrey home owners, and the business has also diversified into rental properties and business interiors too. Alison is our Office Manager and is spectacularly brilliant at organising everything and everyone with military precision.
