Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, Lisa established Bespoke Fire & Flue in 2011 to specialise in providing 'complete solutions' for all fireplace and flue requirements. Her comprehensive knowledge and experience has led to the company becoming one of London and the Home Counties leading fireplace experts. At Bespoke we are committed to providing the best service and advice to all our customers, whether it be residential, business or commercial. Over the years as the business has grown, we have worked with some of the top interior designers and architects, creating a reputation for quality and professionalism.

At Bespoke we have a specialist commercial team who deal with tenders, large contracts and clients who require assistance with complex projects. As consultants we work with Architects and Design teams to plan flue routes and fireplace specifications and have been involved with a number of high-profile projects within the UK and Overseas, including several multi-site installations. Part of our consultancy service includes preparing and producing tender documentation for commercial projects on behalf of clients.

There are few limitations as to where an electric fire can be installed as they do not require a chimney or flue. At Bespoke we offer a wide range of contemporary electric fires of different shapes and sizes with plenty of options, ranging for 400mm to 1800mm wide. Bespoke Fire and Flue Services Ltd are a Gas Safe & HETAS registered company able to work on, install and sign off, gas fire installations of all types. Most fires operate using natural gas, although where this is not available LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) is available for all models. There are a number of different styles of gas fire installations including open gas fires and sealed appliances, through to modern hole in the wall or room dividing fires. So, if you're looking for a fireplace that gives you both economy and efficiency and the pleasure of watching the flames dance, the gas fire is the obvious choice.

Over the last 20 years we have collaborated with Interior Designers, Architects and Developers on a huge range of projects, large and small. Many businesses particularly in the hospitality industry have multiple fireplace installations, all of which need regular maintenance and servicing. In addition to a wide range of Bars, Restaurants and Hotels we have also worked on a number of luxury residential developments, both new build and those being refurbished. We have installed Gas, Bioethanol and Electric fireplaces and advised on industry regulations, 'best practice' and flue requirements for the various installation.

Over the years Bespoke Fire and Flue have built relationships with a small number of trusted experts, skilled in the art of fireplace restoration. Using traditional methods and techniques passed down over the years they can restore, repair or modify most fireplaces and components. From marble, slate or stone surrounds to cast-iron fireplaces and grates, our restoration partners have been rescuing and restoring pre-war and period fireplaces for decades. Existing fireplaces can be carefully dismantled and restored offsite.

In 2019 the UK Government launched its 'Clean Air Initiative' called EcoDesign 2022 with a plan to cut air pollution and save lives. The strategy outlined their aim to tackle all sources of air pollution, making our air healthier to breathe, protecting nature and boosting the economy. One of the key element was to reduce emissions in the home and for our industry the expansion of smokeless zones, and to ensure only the cleanest stoves are available for sale by 2022. EcoDesign 2022 is the fireplace and stove industry's response to this strategy.

The maintenance of any fireplace should be a regular task completed on a (minimum) annual basis. Whilst the burning of coal or wood usually suggests more frequent upkeep, through experience we are aware of a popular misconception that gas fires somehow don't require the same regime. However, both HETAS & GasSafe recommend that all gas appliances in your property need to be safety checked by a registered engineer annually and serviced according to manufacturer's instructions. HETAS & GasSafe recommend having your chimney swept at least twice a year when burning wood or coal and at least once a year when burning smokeless fuels.
