To fill Tinsmiths with quality, with the beautiful, useful and seldom found is our daily pursuit. Situated in the Herefordshire market town of Ledbury, Tinsmiths opened in 2004 with the aim of presenting a carefully curated range of timeless fabrics, lighting and homeware. Tucked up a Dickensian alleyway, Tinsmiths idiosyncratic shop buildings always have much to tempt and interest. Our own passion for hand woven and printed textiles, artisan ceramics, the well designed and handmade is always evident in displays of wares in the two shop buildings.
We supply classic lighting with the core design merits of quality and function; Prismatic Lights for a good diffused light spread, Wall and Ceiling Lights for rooms with limited ceiling height, IP44 Lights for Bathrooms, External Lights, Stable Lights and Bulkhead Lights for weathering the storms, Floor Lamps and Desk Lamps to work under and Table Lamps for a variety of soft pools of light. Tinsmiths Office & warehouse will be closed from Closed 24th December 4.30pm - 6th January 10am. All orders placed on our website during this period will be sent when return after 6th January 2021.
For safety reasons, the main bathroom light must be switched on by a pull cord or a light switch situated outside the bathroom. During installation, ensure that any rubber seals, gaskets and grommets are intact and correctly in position. IP44 (or higher) is required for general exterior lights. Products with a higher IP rating will be required where the situation is close to sprinklers or water features. Exterior lights do not come with PIR sensors unless otherwise stated. However your electrician should be able to fit a remote PIR sensor for use with any of our exterior lights.
Tinsmiths' Sewing Room hand-sews curtains and blinds to your specifications and delivers them to your home. Our Made to Measure website is designed to help you identify the type of window dressing most suitable and to give you as much information about measuring, calculating costs, fitting and caring for curtains and blinds as possble. If you have queries that cannot be answered on-line our in-house team of experts are happy to give you personal advice. If you require curtain poles or fittings it is advisable to fit these before measuring and a selection can by found here.

Labours of love. Visible darning efforts ancient and more recent on beloved garments belonging to Tinsmiths team members. There's something incredibly satisfying and grounding about pulling yarn through wool as you mend, the repetitive action of weaving the needle in and out soothing and calming.
Delighted to hear that Tinsmiths is one of interior designer Lonika Chande's favourite places to shop. Thank you for the mention! https:// www.tat-london.c o.uk/post/ this-tat-by-loni ka-chande
