We offer all of the essential ingredients for successful gardening, and boast a good range of home grown plants. The nursery produces a comprehensive range of seasonal bedding plants and throughout the year raises a terrific selection of vegetable plants. I'm now the third generation of the family to run our traditional nursery and garden centre, and along with our friendly, experienced staff, we pride ourselves on our gardening knowledge. We are always happy to give a helping hand or answer your questions.
We offer all of the essential ingredients for successful gardening, and boast a good range of home grown plants. The nursery produces a comprehensive range of seasonal bedding plants and throughout the year raises a terrific selection of vegetable plants. The nursery is the place where Dundry Nurseries started life. Our family started raising plants on the site in 1947 and the glasshouses are still at the heart of our operation today. In days gone by we produced plants for many other garden centres and stores, including Woolworths, but these days our focus is on the needs of our customers.
It is a great old fashioned nursery, plants etc no gimmicks eg cloths
such helpful staff, the young lady helped and talked us through our purchases. Would highly recommend anyone to buy plants etc from here. One very happy customer.
After an increasingly desperate search of the internet to find my favourite seed potato varieties, I chanced upon Dundry Nurseries. I was delighted to see they actually had these varieties that nobody else seemed to be stocking online this year. An email was sent, and a very friendly reply was received very quickly. Two days later my seed potatoes arrived, well packed, via courier to Cumbria. Not only was this outstanding customer service, but the quality of the seed potatoes was impressive - the best I've ever bought. The price was also very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Spring is in the air! In need of some colour in the garden? We've got lovely pansies, violas and primroses. Go on, you know you want to!
It's a bit early for this little beauty to be out and about, hopefully it'll make it now the weather is due to warm up a bit. A sign for us all that better days are ahead.
After a quiet winter on the nursery the seed sowing, pricking out and potting on has begun. Roll on spring!
PACKING UP.POTATOES! Over the last few weeks we've been hard at work picking and packing nearly 400 potato orders (that a 166% increase on previous years - the lockdown effect). And still the orders come. We'll carry on picking and packing until every order is delivered and our potatoes have.
