Anglian Timber was founded in 1981 trading as a traditional timber merchant from Birch, near Colchester. After three years the company purchased a sawmill site at Wix, near Harwich, owned by George Paskell & Son. The old hardwood mill and ancient storage buildings have been replaced with modern manufacturing facilities. On the Wix site the company has a softwood merchanting business specialising in fencing products and a trussed rafter manufacturing plant. Timber, trusses and panels are delivered within a radius of one hundred miles.
Anglian Timber has been established as a timber merchant for the past 29 years. The company is best known for supplying fencing contractors, builders, timber merchants and local authorities with home grown timber. Most of the timber supplied from Wix is COC certified timber. All timber can be pressure treated brown or green delivered on our fleet of crane offload vehicles.
