Triple glazing is a system of sealed unity using three sheets of glass rather than two in the standard double glazed unit. Triple glazing is not yet the norm in the UK, in colder countries such as in Scandinavia it has been a building standard for many years. The Aim of triple glazing is to provide better thermal and sound insulation than you would find with other forms of windows. The inner pane and sometimes the middle pane has a low emissivity coating. Also known as K Glass, this has a metallic coating on the inner side of the unit.

Over time some double glazed units can start to develop condensation between the panes of glass and is what we term a 'broken down' or 'failed' unit. This occurs when the seals lose their airtight properties due to the perishing of the materials after years of continual expansion and contraction that happen in fluctuating temperatures of weather. These units can be easily and simply replaced in most cases. To avoid a lot of repairs it is advisable to lightly lubricate mechanical moving parts as outlined in our care guide and form part of the warranty requirements.
These sliding sash windows can help to keep your property look traditional, designed to replicate traditional timber box sash windows. These opening facilities allow for enhanced ventilation, hassle free maintenance and aesthetic appeal, whilst still maintaining the safety and security properties of the window. Tilting Facility - after the sashes have been set in the required slide position, the tilt facility can then be operated individually or simultaneously.
