Tennis Court Surface Solutions

It is a misconception that artificial grass tennis courts are low maintenance as many players find out. Lack of maintenance results in poor drainage, dirty, slippery courts, sand compacting and can drastically reduce the life span of the artificial grass tennis court surface. Once a court descends into this state they are only going to get worse and eventually need replacing if no action is taken. There are many ways of resolving problems with artificial grass courts and over the past few years we have been using a process that can bring your court back to its best and add additional life to the carpet.

Macadam Tennis Courts provide an all year round playing surface, the tarmacadam court is low maintenance but not maintenance free. A macadam tennis court is an ideal surface for tennis clubs or private home courts; it also provides an excellent base for conversion to Artificial Grass or Artificial Clay Court. The macadam used is a 6mm open texture Ultisport product which provides excellent drainage and is also hard wearing.

All of our MUGAs are individually designed and constructed using the most up to date materials and build process. The MUGA surface will be tailored to the individual's requirements from artificial grass to a rubber cushioned surface and then finished with a range of multi-sport markings.

The Patented Rejuvenation Machine dampens the contaminated and compacted sand infill, then it delivers a carefully balanced mixture of Compressed Air in the artificial grass carpet pile, forcing the contaminated and compacted material to the surface ready for disposal. The extracted infill material is then removed by our specialised Sweeping Unit which leaves no contaminated material in the artificial grass pile and brushes the pile fibre back into the upright position. The contaminated sand can be recycled onto natural grass or disposed of.

All tennis courts require attention due to wear, weather and sometimes lack of regular maintenance. Initially, an inspection can identify if it is possible to refurbish the facility, whether an artificial grass court that needs refurbishing or a hard tennis court that needs cleaning and painting. Should the option of refurbishment not be possible then a further inspection will provide the information to look at a partial or full tennis court resurfacing. With Macadam tennis courts it is normally possible to simply skim the worn of damaged surface and then paint.
