Breedon's quarries in Great Britain are leading producers and suppliers of bulk aggregates: crushed rock in a variety of grades, bagged aggregates, sand and gravel. We operate a national network of concrete batching plants in Great Britain, providing a personalised local service and a range of specially-designed proprietary mixes. Breedon produces a comprehensive range of dense and lightweight concrete blocks, T-beams and building products, including our highly-regarded Fyfestone range of concrete stone walling.

Breedon is a leading construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland. We produce cement, aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, Welsh slate and specialist concrete and clay products, and offer a range of contracting services. We have strong asset backing, with nearly 900 million tonnes of mineral reserves and resources. Our strategy is to continue growing organically and through the acquisition of businesses in the heavyside construction materials market. We report as three segments: Great Britain (GB), Ireland and Cement.

Breedon manufactures concrete roof tiles and ridge tiles in a range of profiles and colours. We also offer an extensive collection of accessories that complement our range, including dry ridge, dry verge, ventilation systems and underlays. The company began producing concrete roof tiles in 1995 at a purpose-built factory near Lisburn in Northern Ireland. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength, supplying customers in all sectors of the building industry in the UK and Ireland with quality products and a personal level of customer service.

Operating throughout Scotland, central, eastern and northern England and Wales, our quarries produce crushed limestone, granite, basalt, sand & gravel for a variety of uses in the construction industry. We also supply high PSV (Polished Stone Value) stone, sub-base materials and sands for the road construction industry. Our milled limes are widely used in the agricultural industry and we also produce a specialist sound insulation product, QuieTex. Our quarry at Naunton, near Cheltenham, is also well known for its distinctive range of natural limestone products.

We have an extensive network of batching plants throughout Great Britain ready to help, offering a wide range of standard and proprietary products. We supply a broad portfolio of mixes, all quality-assured and compliant with European standards, including a portfolio of specialist proprietary products for specific applications, listed below. For customers requiring smaller loads of ready-mixed concrete (typically for DIY, smaller commercial/industrial or agricultural applications), try our specialist mini mix service, 1stMix (East/West Midlands & East Anglia).

Our network of asphalt plants in England, Wales and Scotland combine our aggregates with bitumen to produce a wide range of surfacing materials, including specialist products for motorways, trunk roads, airport infrastructure, driveways, footpaths, farm roads, car parks and recreational areas. All Breedon's asphalt plants are quality assured and we supply all standard asphalts complying with European standard EN13108. Our state-of-the-art plants are able to supply all sizes of contract from driveways to motorways.

Breedon's long-established contracting services businesses in Great Britain are grouped around nine regional hubs, strategically located to service the central belt of England and most of Scotland. They are complemented by our Whitemountain business, based in Belfast, which provides specific project delivery across Northern Ireland and parts of the UK. At the heart of our contracting services business is the laying of asphalt (tarmacadam) and other bituminous bound materials, with planing and ancillary civil engineering capabilities.

Breedon produces a full range of concrete products in Scotland at Kemnay near Aberdeen and Marybank near Stornoway. In England, we supply a range of concrete blocks and building products at our Naunton quarry near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. A range of high strength, robust, load bearing units for use in either internal or external walls in a variety of sizes, strengths and finishes offering total flexibility. Simple split finish and subtly blended shades which faithfully reproduce the traditional dressed appearance of natural rustic stone and sandstone masonry.
