We provide PAT testing services in Edinburgh to Landlords, Letting Agents and businesses who need to comply with the Health and Safety act 1974. We have our own fully qualified electricians based in Edinburgh who are able to complete PAT test services. We provide you with a test sheet recording the results and we provide you with printed labels for your appliances. All Landlords in Edinburgh who Let their property as a business activity are required by law to ensure the equipment they supply with the tenancy is safe.

It is important that all gas appliances are checked annually for safety and suitability for continued use. This should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. This applies whether you are private home owner or a Landlord. The gas inspection is performed to ensure that appliances which use gas have been set correctly and that the burning pressures are operating correctly. This inspection is to ensure that appliances have been setup correctly and that they have adequate ventilation. The inspection ensures that all the pipework is tight and secure and there is no loss of pressure.

Your EICR report will include details of any deviations from the current British Standard, together with a list of any remedial work deemed necessary. If required we will quote for remedial works, but you are under no obligation to completed this work with ourselves. A suitably qualified electrician will check the electrics against the national safety standard and should carry out all periodic inspections. The inspection should meet BS 7671 - Requirements for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations).
