We started fostering for Spaniel Aid in September 2017. What a fantastic charity to be involved in - no egos, just wonderful people who love Spaniels (and honorary Spaniels! ). The admin ladies found perfect homes for all the fosters we had that were re-homed, it's almost as though they have a second sight or instinct as to which would be the perfect one. We could have failed foster with any one of them, but that they had found great homes with people who fell for them at first sight made it easier to let them go. Then along came Riley, and we knew almost instantly that he was a keeper, so at the 6th attempt we failed at fostering. Anybody looking for a Spaniel, or any other dog that Spaniel Aid may have, rest assured that there is a network of support available from SA if you need it whenever - it does not end when you adopt the dog. The write ups are all an honest assessment of the dog done by the fosterers to give you as much of an insight as possible into what the dog is like.
Spaniel Aid UK is an amazing charity. I can not give them the praise they deserve in this review. Having personally fostered for them and followed the dogs they have come in and find their forever homes as well as the many failed fosters (the fosters adopt the dog ) and the endless time and money they put in to each and every dog to get them 100% healthy and sometimes the abuse they get for doing the right thing by the dog. These ladies who run Spaniel Aid are all volunteers and poor their soul in to the charity. If you need help with your dog or considered adopting/ fostering you have come to the right place.
An amazing charity that has rescued and rehomed spaniels for years. They aren't after money, at the end of the day it always comes down to the spaniels needs. Giving a 5 star review because I find the 1 star reviews appalling from people who haven't got a clue. If I ever find myself in a situation where I can no longer give my dog the care and attention it needs Spaniel Aid will be the first place I turn for help and we hope to adopt from them in the future!
