We commenced trading in 1990 as McGowan Miller Partnership and have since then built up an enviable reputation for providing a quality service with a personal touch. As we approached our 25th year in business, we felt that the time was right for a re-branding and restructuring exercise of our company to freshen up our image and also to reflect the changing and varied services which we now provide in today's modern construction industry. This re-branding and restructuring is now reflected in our new company name of McGowan Miller Construction Consultants which is the trading name of our company McGowan Miller Ltd.

McGowan Miller have Chartered Building Surveyors who prepare drawings and details to support your planning and building warrant applications. We can also provide strategic advice on development plans and advise on alternative design options. Our service can make the process a lot simpler for both the self-builder and the small contractor and has a significant cost benefit with the entire process managed by Professional Surveyors. McGowan Miller can deal with the various authorities on your behalf with regards Planning Applications, Building Regulations, Listed Building Consent and Health and Safety etc.

Pre-construction services in simplistic terms covers everything needed to get the project to construction phase. Our usual pre-construction role after these initial steps have been, or are in the process of being agreed, would include setting up a design team, preparation of initial then firm designs, ensuring all consents are in place, preparation, issue and receipt of competitive tenders and acceptance of contractor. Typically, each of these steps will have a myriad of sub elements within them until we reach a stage where the project is ready to go subject to the client's authorisation.
