We're committed to creating desirable places for people to live, work and play - and environments for plants and wildlife to thrive. At Maydencroft, we bring together our environmental know-how, with the creative and imaginative expertise of our landscape architects to deliver beautiful and distinctive landscape designs. We have extensive experience in delivering landscape design across a broad range of sectors, including private clients, country parks and estates, residential development, utilities, agricultural and brown-field development, and town parks and gardens.
We have a wealth of fencing expertise, and our dedicated teams use state-of-the-art machinery and equipment - as well as sustainable materials - to supply and install a wide range of fencing. As well as all the above, we also install underground 'invisible' livestock fencing. When installed with an energiser, a low current is delivered along the underground wire and as livestock approach, when wearing a collar, it gives an audible warning to the animal to stay within the grazing compartment. This is particularly useful on common land where applications to install structures can be difficult, and freedom of movement for people is of high importance.
We provide a complete grounds maintenance service for a variety of clients in the commercial sectors, on sites such as business parks, residential estates, retail parks and industrial estates. And it's through the consistent quality of our work, that we've have established a number of prestigious long term contracts. Each member of our team is highly trained and qualified in their role - and we work with a wide range of state-of-the-art commercial mowing machinery, including remote controlled equipment to ensure operator safety.
We carry out all kinds of civil engineering projects for commercial clients, utility companies, contractors, developers, construction firms and local authorities. Wherever possible, we use recycled materials and sustainable methods, aiming for SuDS (sustainable drainage system) compliance. Our plant machinery and equipment is top of the range, and our in-house teams are highly skilled - so you can be confident of impeccable results, every time.
The demand for strategic thinking about urban and rural change on our landscapes is constantly growing. Whether the land is shaped by natural processes or defined by human interventions, sensitive landscape management is essential. A management plan is key to ensuring that landscapes continue to deliver valued social, economic, political and environmental resources. It's these resources which, if effectively managed, can fulfil the needs and aspirations of current and future communities. At Maydencroft we've produced numerous landscape management plans, conservation management plans and arboricultural management plans.
We're here to help you keep your grounds, roads, pavements, path, car parks and all public areas safe and functional - even in the harshest, most unpredictable conditions. With an extensive portfolio of public, commercial and utility sector clients, our rapid-response service can respond fast and efficiently to changes in the weather, with regular real-time updates as part of the package. Our rapid-response fleet of snow ploughs are able to clear any size of area of snow and ice across the UK - to prevent disruption to roads, infrastructure or private grounds.
Tree removal We're experts in removing single or multiple trees safely, with minimal disruption, and in accordance with best practice. When a tree has rotted, become infected - or has become a danger to nearby buildings, structures, roads or pathways - our highly qualified, experienced tree surgeons can carry out full or sectional felling. We'll undertake a full risk assessment, and always advise on the best ways to proceed - as well as helping liaise with local planning authorities where conservation and planning consent are issues.
We carry out all types of landscape construction for landscape architects, garden designers, property management and construction companies, utilities, local authorities and home owners. Our broad and diverse portfolio ranges from small private gardens to large public spaces, business parks, listed and historic landscapes and country houses. Using a wide array of specialised machinery and equipment, we've delivered all kinds of high quality open spaces through major levelling and grading, irrigation, turf laying, tree planting and the creation of borders.
We carry out land clearance and site preparation for developers, local authorities and other organisations with large areas cleared of vegetation. We're highly sympathetic to the ecology of the local environment, and through our specialist ecology division, we're able to obtain the necessary permissions. Our in-house equipment includes a variety of large excavators with specialist attachments, such as land rakes, tree shears, heavy-duty flails, high capacity chippers and demolition grapples to quickly and effectively clear land.
Our experienced team of ecological and environmental consultants deliver a range of practical and cost-effective solutions - from completing preliminary ecological appraisals, to surveys on habitat, protected species and invasive non-native plants. We know how vital it is to manage the fine balance between conservation and development, so you can be confident that we always follow best practice guidance and procedures. Our ecology team holds licences to survey all European Protected Species, including bats, dormice, great crested newts, barn owls and otters.
Our specialist arboriculture team takes care of all things tree-related - from tree surgery to planting and aftercare, highway work, safety inspections and health assessments. Our highly trained arborists work closely with expert consultants to deliver unrivalled all-round solutions for the public, commercial, domestic and utilities sectors. The service covers tree safety inspections and surveys, plus up-to-the-minute advice on tree pests, diseases and planning considerations. As well as maintenance, we also offer tree planting and young tree aftercare in a full range of ages and sizes.
Our experienced team of contracts managers, estates managers, horticulturists, gardeners, grounds maintenance operatives and rangers have the specialist knowledge and expertise required to manage any rural landscape, whether it's a public open space or a private estate. For our team, no landscape is too large or too complex, and we currently maintain an impressive portfolio of large estates, parks and gardens. We ensure our teams are provided with the very best training and equipment to keep them ahead of the curve.
As an Arb Approved Contractor, our experienced teams of fully qualified arborists offer a full range of specialist tree surgery services. From small domestic jobs for private clients, to major schemes for utility companies, we can assist with any kind of project. Our tree surgeons work closely with our own ecologists and consultants to ensure habitats and protected species are looked after - and will report any signs of pests or diseases. Recent work has included sensitive tree felling and surgery near bat roosts, badger setts and known populations of Roman snail and water vole.
From hard and soft landscaping, to town planning and strategic advice, we deliver a broad range of contracting and consultancy services, using the latest knowhow, technology and equipment. With our flexible and professional approach, we've built strong working relationships with clients over the years, and our contracts vary from one-off private and individual projects, to multi-million pound long term agreements for large commercial businesses. Our approach is informed by our in-depth knowledge and appreciation of all the diverse elements that combine to form a 'landscape'.
