We manufacture quality timber mouldings for the trade, with over 25 years of experience in moulding joinery and cabinet making. We provide mouldings in high quality Southern Yellow Pine, as well as other hard and softwoods including oak, sapele, tulip, walnut, maple and ash. Each piece is hand-checked ensuring the best finish is obtained. We supply the whole of the UK from our online store. Place your order here on our website or, for larger or bespoke orders, give us a call on 01799 543887. Our mouldings are manufactured in our factory in Essex.
When making a bespoke moulding generally we say it only becomes cost effective when we are running a substantial quantity, in excess of 100 metres. Above this the price per metre will reduce further as the quantity increases, due to the tooling and machine set up involved. The cost of a moulding under 10 metres could generally go over 400/800 being 40/80 per metre, but a 200 metre bespoke run could reduce to 6/9 per metre. In order for us to work out a price we need an end section of your moulding, either photo or a drawing.
Orders made from stock are very cost effective and can be delivered within 2-5 working days. Out of stock mouldings can still be ordered. These are machined to order in house so this takes longer, and smaller runs are less cost effective. The wood is generally straight-grained, but sometimes with wavy or curly grain that produces an attractive and decorative figure. This species produces a greater variety of figure types than any other. It is a favoured wood for using in contrast with lighter color woods.
Mouldings not in stock can still be machined to order but these are machined in house for you and this takes longer. Smaller runs are less cost effective. Dispatch time is around 6 working days. Allow a further 1-3 working days for delivery. Recommended: Mouldings from stock are more cost effective and can be delivered within 2-5 working days. It is Pale cream through to greyish brown in colour. Ash generally has a straight grain. This timber is from the North American Regions. It is an internal timber, used in joinery, furniture and shopfitting.
