12'x12' softbox with 9 skypanels, with egg crate and skirt. Challenge: to be able to move it to several sets quickly as not enough time/ money to build a softbox for each set. (Before you say it, there wasn't enoguh space to manoeuvre a manitou, and no runway beams in studio.)
Wrapped on a 3 day commercial with DP Paul Mackay. In this setup we used 9 sky panels in our soft box, 2 on the floor as well as 3 9K maxi brutes, 1 5K molebeam, a couple of blondes, a 3x2 flex light from #Panalux and a couple of Mac Vipers. Was a pleasure to have so much freedom trying to create.
We built a replica of the van interior so we could move the walls to get the frontal shot as the van cells are very small, also so we could paint the interior a dark grey to get contrast in such a small space.
