Rising Damp is unsightly, potentially hazardous to health and can lead to serious timber decay in a property therefore threatening the structure of a building. Eliminating damp in a property can prevent further, more serious issues arising. Our experts will first establish the source of the rising damp, then offer a cost effective solution to help lock damp out.

One of the most common causes of damp in a building is condensation. Condensation appears in the form of Black Spot Mould and is the result of poor ventilation and modern living practices such as drying washing indoors on radiators or showering without ventilating a bathroom. Hampton's can offer advice on how to deal with condensation and help prevent it from ruining your property with a cost effective solution tailored to your individual requirements.

Various types of Woodworm Larvae (Common Furniture Beetle - Anobium punctatum) affect our properties across Scotland, some however do not require treatment. Our experienced Surveyors will determine which type of Woodworm Beetle is affecting a property and provide an effective treatment to stop them in their tracks. Woodworm Treatments are covered by our long term guarantee affording you peace of mind that the problem has been dealt with.

More common that Dry Rot, Wet Rot Fungus (Coniophora puteana) is drawn to very damp wood and plaster and unlike Dry Rot it remains confined to wet areas only. It is generally deemed less destructive than Dry Rot but can still be hazardous to a buildings structure and therefore should be dealt with immediately when discovered. There are several different types of Wet Rot each of which. Hampton's Dry Rot repairs are covered by our long term guarantee affording you peace of mind that the problem has been dealt with.

Dry Rot (Serpula lacrymans) is a Fungal Decay in timber occurring in poorly ventilated areas. The result is cracking and powdering of the wood. In spite of its name, Dry Rot needs moisture to thrive and spreads rapidly making it essential to act quickly when Dry Rot is discovered in a property. Hampton's Dry Rot repairs are covered by our long term guarantee affording you peace of mind that the problem has been dealt with.

Still in Tayport, work continued beyond the porch. Utility Room revamped with all white goods now hidden behind cupboard doors. The bathroom was re-done with the original bath getting re-enamelled. To top it off we carried on outdoors building a new retaining wall after removing part of a raised.
