Condensation is the most common cause of damp problems in both homes and offices. It is caused by air condensing on internal walls, particularly in rooms with a lot of moisture, such as bathrooms and kitchens. If you are noticing damp in your home or office, don't worry. Preservit can help you identify the cause of condensation and take the necessary measures to manage and prevent condensation from damaging the aesthetics and comfort of your home. Warm air contains large amounts of moisture or water vapours.

Wet rot is a very similar problem to dry rot as they both originate from common sources of moisture - but as the rot progresses, they begin to take on individual characteristics. Dry rot tends to quickly spread throughout the building whereas wet rot usually only appears in a specific area. However, the most concerning characteristic of wet rot is that it can cause significant amounts of structural damage, especially to timber. Preservit offer a wet rot inspection and eradication solution - eliminating potential problems and allowing you to rest assured that your property is free of damage.

Woodworm can be a major issue to buildings and properties that if left untreated can lead to major structural damage to a building. At Preservit Ltd., we offer woodworm treatment services to eradicate any kind of infestation in a cost-effective manner. Do you live in Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Birmingham, Walsall or any of the surrounding areas in the West Midlands? Are you concerned you might have a woodworm problem? Woodworm is a collective term used to describe all the insects and pests that attack and feed on wood and timber.

Have you noticed a small patch of damp on your walls or floor or stained or perished wall plaster? Or maybe you can't remove that damp musty smell in a room? These are signs of a rising damp problem, and if left untreated, it may lead to mould growth and damage timber structures in your home. If you are in doubt about the presence of rising dampness within your property, Preservit Ltd. can help. We will perform a thorough rising damp survey to examine your property and identify the source of rising damp and use a suitable damp proofing solution to remove the problem.

Have you noticed patchy black mould appearing on an internal wall? Or a watermark has suddenly appeared on the masonry? Patchy black mould, watermarks, damp musty smell, and damage to roofing and timber are all signs of a penetrating damp problem. Let Preservit Ltd. conduct a damp proofing survey and help you determine what might be saturating your walls with water. Depending on the underlying cause and the extent of damage, we will then employ a suitable damp proofing treatment to prevent future moisture from penetrating into your property.

To avoid dry rot, regular upkeep and maintenance is essential to ensure the comfort of any home. However, in spite of regular care, fungal infestation may damage the wooden structure of your building. If left untreated, fungal decay may lead to a structural failure of floors, walls and roof timbers. At Preservit Ltd., we specialise in dry rot treatments. Utilising our deep expertise and moisture meters, we not only locate dry rot, but also eliminate the underlying cause of the outbreak. To restrict the damage, our experts replace defective timber and undertake repairs where necessary to ensure optimal structural strength and stability.

Geoff came round to do a survey for me didn't try and rip me off far from it told me how to put the problem right without the need for damp proofing.

DAMP SURVEY FINDINGS. External rendering in contact with ground levels causing a breach of existing slate damp proof course (DPC) allowing moisture to travel vertically and bypass the DPC. Subfloor air bricks blocked this is restricting airflow to the timber floor voids and could lead to possible.
