Rising damp is simply water from the ground that rises through the bricks of a wall. It is most often caused by a breakdown of an old damp proof course, or the lack of one altogether. It can happen on any wall (internal or external) that is build into the ground on a foundation. Rising damp is commonly misdiagnosed, so we will use a moisture meter to build up an accurate moisture profile of the wall as well as salt analysis if required. We combine this with our knowledge and experience to form an accurate diagnosis.

Condensation is water which collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it, and it is the most common form of unwanted dampness in buildings. On a daily basis we generate large amounts of moisture within our properties via cooking, baths, showers and drying clothes.
