H & M was formed in 1987 and under the watchful eyes of David and Grace Metcalfe and has earned a first-class reputation. We're based in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, and our showroom features an extensive range of kitchens, bedrooms and home studies. Our skilled craftsmen use only the finest woods and finishes, and build our furniture using traditional, hands-on methods. This ensures the unsurpassed quality of all our pieces, and the personal touch that goes into each and every order really shows.

Our bedroom collection presents you with the very best in choice, quality and workmanship. Take your pick from our extensive range of the finest quality, colour-coordinated cabinets and doors. We offer a large range of finishes from our vinyl range, to bespoke made in any timber or paint colour you would like. All of our bedroom furniture is made to order so you are not limited to "standard only" sizes and the interiors can be customised to meet your requirements. We'll guide you through step-by-step to create your unique design, and because we know that individual taste is everything, we'll make sure your personal touch is inherent in the finished room.

Our 25+ years of design experience combined with our skilled craftsmen mean we can meet your commercial requirements. We have fitted out bars, veterinary surgeries, school classrooms, large offices, church kitchens and fitted cabinetry, caravan park communal areas and more. Whether you are wanting simple storage solutions, fresh workspace areas, or something to make your clients say "wow", we can work with you to design the furniture that you are wanting. As you can see from the gallery above, we are able to produce some truly bespoke pieces of furniture.

We aim to create offices that will meet your needs in the space you have available. We know sometimes this can be tricky such as your attic space or a space in a hallway, or maybe you have a full room that you would like to dedicate to your work. We have many different styles of doors and finishes in our showroom that you could choose from, feel free to come into our Showroom to have a look and discuss any ideas you may have for your home office.

Our little Cookshop opened in December 1999, as an add-on to our Kitchen Showroom and has far exceeded our expectations of how well it would do; but after 20 years it's time to hang up our spatula. It's been a joy and a pleasure to have served all our lovely customers, learn about Induction Pans and develop a love of Le Creuset Cookware. We hope you are able to pop in for some discounted Cookware, Bakeware, Knives, Utensils or Gifts. Once or twice a year we host a fabulous open day with cookery demonstrations, new recipes and tastings, promotions and free prize draws.
