Christina Meyer Sustainable Wood Products has FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification which assures the traceability of your wood from forest to floor. With a range of quality wood products in the finest oak, ash, beech, hornbeam, jatoba and softwoods that proves timber can be ethical sourced. FSC is the only certification scheme that is recommended by the likes of the WWF (Worldwide Wildlife Fund). The FSC logo guarantees that timber comes from well managed forests and other controlled sources.
Solid wood flooring consists of a single piece of machined and sanded hardwood timber. All our flooring is made from FSC certified hardwoods such as Oak, Ash, Hornbeam, Beech or even tropical woods such as Jatoba. We can supply European FSC hardwoods such as Walnut, Cherry, Alder and FSC tropical woods such a Tiger Wood and Ipe, all subject to availability. Solid wood flooring has tongue and grooves and comes in finished or unfinished form. A pre-finished floor will be sanded to fine smooth state and either lacquered of finished with our hardwax oil.
Christina Meyer can also supply Forest Stewardship Council certified laminate flooring. Modern laminate flooring provides a convincing imitation of a traditional wood floor. It offers a low cost alternative, which is also very hardwearing and easy to install. The planks are constituted of a variety of materials, depending on the manufacturer, but generally wood, paper and plastic, which are compacted to provide excellent service and durability. The appearance of real wood is achieved by means of a photographic image of a natural wood grain printed on to the top surface of paper, which is overlaid by a very tough protective lacquer coating.
Our 2-in-1 Cleaner is designed to be used on any wood surface floors, doors, work tops, skirtings and mouldings and any type of wood flooring - solid, engineered and laminate. The 2-in-1 preparation cleans the wood surface and at the same time applies a protective and replenishing surface of hardwax oil to help maintain the surface - cleaning and maintaining at the same. An easy to use product you need only add a sample cupful to a warm bucket of water and apply with a damp mop or cloth.

We pride ourselves on using eco-friendly oils, stains and cleaning products. These are made with fair-trade products where possible; natural plant material, nuts beeswax, and oils. All our prefinished solid woods have been sanded and finished with two coats of our Hardwax oil, matt finish in our factory. This gives a beautiful rich natural hard-wearing finish, which is easy to maintain. We also have a 2 in1 cleaner made from our natural products which contains cleaning solution and oil. Everytime you mop the floor it gives the floor a fine coat of oil.
