Batecool is an East Midlands based company that was set up in 1998, by Jon Bates. Jon had been in the Industry for over 15 years. Starting with refrigeration the company then moved on into air conditioning and other HVAC fields. In its 11 year history, Batecool has established a reputation of serving a broad spectrum of regular customers, from commercial to industrial sites. Installation and service is carried out nationally, including Ireland. Repairs are mainly restricted to the Midlands areas.

These systems can be classed as renewable energy when in the heating mode. The heat is extracted from the outside ambient air. Air conditioning is also no longer regarded as the ability to cool only. The modern heat pump systems now installed, offer savings in heating costs as well as cooling, with little extra cost in installation. We regularly work on systems from the small simple split systems, to large multiple and variable refrigerant volume (VRV, VRF) systems. In modern buildings we can no longer rely on natural ventilation to provide a fresh atmosphere. Modern structures are now tightly sealed to avoid heat loss. The lack of natural openings within modern buildings reduces natural ventilation. To make matters worse buildings are now more heavily populated, and feature the wide use of electronic equipment within. The problem may be linked (but never scientifically proven) to Low humidity levels, High levels of dust. A range of ventilation systems can be designed and installed to comply with modern building regulations and eliminate problems that are associated with poor ventilation.

Solar water heating is the ability to capture natural energy from the sun, and use it for the heating of water (typically domestic hot water). The technology is not a new idea, and has been used in other countries for many decades. Do not get confused that you need a hot country, with extreme high temperatures, to make use of the solar water heating system. The high efficiency solar collectors now installed can save water heating energy costs between 40 - 60 % over an annual season (UK conditions).
