With large volumes of landed stocks kept at strategic locations around the UK BROOKS BROS PACK SALES offer "best stocks" at "best prices" to its bulk hardwood customers. And, because it's a separate sales division within Brooks Bros (UK) Ltd, it isn't burdened by the on costs associated with a large multi-site company, which means BROOKS BROS PACK SALES can offer very competitive pricing.
As the flooring 'arm' of Brooks Bros (UK) we've been sourcing and trading timbers from all corners of the world for some sixty years and believe we are perfectly placed today to offer real choices in hardwood flooring. Our line-up majors on traditional Oak (certified French and European) with some contemporary Walnut. We have multi-ply, engineered and solid wood flooring, both naturally unfinished and in an amazing choice of surface finishes. We also have a great looking Herringbone range. For something particular (not in our ranges), ask about our bespoke service.
Brooks Bros offers standard supply deck boards in a range of five popular species with smooth, reeded and grooved profile variations. To complete the work we also have a full range of matching components and, if required, supply bespoke machined deck boards to order.
The NHLA (National Hardwood Lumber Association) grades cover the majority of commercial hardwood species growing in the USA. The following is a brief summary of the grades, characteristics and defects of North American hardwoods. The FAS grade, which derives from an original grade 'First and Seconds', will provide the user with long, clear cuttings - best suited for high quality furniture, interior joinery and solid wood mouldings. Minimum board size is 6 and wider and 8' and longer. The FAS grade includes a range of boards that yield from 83.33% (ten-twelfths) to 100% clear-wood cuttings over the entire surface of the board.
Apart from head office Maldon, each one of the Brooks Bros sites has the facility to take supplying timber several steps further, through its machining, finishing and laminating operations. Brooks Bros' passion for working to enhance timber is clear to see in state-of-the-art machining facilities (23 moulders, our own tool making, sanders, sawing, fully automated flooring lines and more) spread across our sites in Danbury, Maldon, Nottingham, Sewstern and Skelmersdale. To further process your timber exactly the way you want it Brooks Bros operate five stain, primer and paint coatings, foil and veneer wrapping and a routing service.
As well as being a simple, effective and natural decorative covering for the fascia's of buildings (both interior and external, for walls and ceilings) timber cladding also offers unique creative solutions. As a leading UK supplier, Brooks Bros prides itself on the role it plays in this: offering the complete package from specification through to completion, on projects both prestigious and practical and in 'partnership' with its architect, contractor and specifier alike.
We operate 10 finishing lines - equipped with sanding heads and dust extraction to ensure the best possible finish - that can apply water based lacquer, stain and primer coats (from a basic sealer coat through to a fully finished product). Perfect for picture frame and other mouldings/profiles, this two-line operation provides high quality solutions to specific customer needs by matching the colours of natural timber and other materials.
