There are many reasons why people purchase an oak or other hardwood conservatory, the most obvious is to provide additional living space in their home. A hardwood conservatory manufactured & installed by Realwood Conservatories in Sussex can fulfil this requirement & provide a light & a comfortable environment 365 days a year. There is no doubt that a quality hardwood conservatory is designed to last for decades & is therefore constructed in a rational manner with Realwood's superb attention to detail, not only compliments one's property, but also adds value too.

Realwood's growing reputation for quality bespoke joinery has meant that we have also been requested to construct traditional Oak Framed Buildings utilising the finest hand picked first quality kiln dried Oak. or Natural Green Oak. An Oak Framed Structure is an ideal solution when trying to match existing period joinery & will age with its surroundings giving a natural matured look which will last for many decades to come, our Oak can also be treated with a 3 part application of Osmo Oil which will enhance the natural grain and prevent the Oak from going black.

Realwood are able to offer a unique one to one specialised joinery service. We are able to work with most CAD programs and can provide design details to architects and specifiers to compliment and assist their own design requirements for their clients. You will also be able to be confident and sure that you will not be let down in specifying or recommending Realwood to your clients. We are able to provide concept or working drawings in DWG or DXF formats and can accept imported files in the same format.

Realwood believe in giving our clients the freedom of choice of utilising our quality Sapele Hardwoods or we can upon request construct your Conservatory or Orangery from traditional European Oak. We specially hand select our Oak from quality suppliers ensuring that your building is constructed from the very finest materials available. During the manufacturing process we personally select each piece of timber, utilising the grain to achieve the most from the timber, which gives your Conservatory or Orangery a unique character all of it's own.

Whilst woodworking machinery is used to ensure a constant degree of accuracy, many of our processes are still carried out by hand in the traditional manner. Traditional joints are employed throughout the construction glued with an appropriate exterior grade adhesive with no surface fixings through the joinery face, as is common practice with other manufacturers. Each stage of manufacture is subject to repeated quality control prior to the next process being undertaken. In addition to being mechanically fixed all of our conservatory roof members employ traditional ‘birds mouth' joints to help maintain structural rigidity in the roof.

The specification of construction of a Realwood Orangery is superior in all respects & we have our own particular system of embellishments to finish all of our Orangeries to a unique finish. This detailing does take longer to construct but the finish is highly desirable. An Orangery really does bring the outside into the comfort of your home. Our Orangeries look & feel like part of your home creating the perfect blend of style & elegance. An Orangery can give you a superior dining area for entertainment, or for those intimate candle lit dinners with it's natural light & clever artificial night lighting with evening views of the night sky.
